All of the Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Master of Science (MSc) programmes of UvA EB have been accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This means the programmes meet the high quality standards prescribed by law.

UvA EB has also been Triple Crown-accredited by AMBA, AACSB and EQUIS. Worldwide, only 1% of all business schools / faculties with Business Administration study programmes (about 14,000) have this prestigious status.

AMBA

The Association of MBAs (AMBA) accreditation service sets the standard for MBA programmes and Master’s programmes in Business worldwide. Accreditation is granted on the basis of rigorous criteria that ensure excellence in teaching, curriculum design, career development and interaction with industry. This commitment promotes innovation and encourages high performance.

AACSB

As the longest serving global association dedicated to advancing management education worldwide, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accredits more than 1000 business schools worldwide.

Schools that have earned AACSB business accreditation demonstrate an ongoing commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and curriculum development. Earning AACSB accreditation signifies a business school’s commitment to strategic management, learner success, thought leadership and societal impact.

EQUIS

The European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is part of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EQUIS is a comprehensive quality assurance system for business and management schools. Its rigorous peer review process signals the school's overall quality, viability and commitment to self-improvement to students, employers and academic partners worldwide.

NVAO

In order to be eligible for NVAO accreditation, all UvA programmes are inspected once every 6 years. To enable such inspections, the programme is first required to write a self-assessment in which the following questions are addressed: What is the programme’s objective? How does the programme effectuate this? Are the objectives achieved? If the panel issues a positive recommendation, the programme is accredited by NVAO for a period of 6 years.

Cedeo

The Cedeo-certificate is meant to be an instrument in the hands of anyone engaged in buying training courses, outplacement programmes or other HR services. The overview of training courses and other HR services of Cedeo-certified providers is indispensable for drafting a meaningful shortlist. That is because the Cedeo-certificate tells you that at least 80% of the Cedeo-certified provider's client base is 'satisfied or highly satisfied' with the quality of the services offered.

National Professional organisations

Several of our programmes are accredited by national professional bodies in accounting, actuarial science, control and/or auditing. We have also been acknowledged as designated so-called permanent education institute, to offer modules for professionals such as accountants and controllers to fulfil their required regular education for their continued registration.
