Bachelor's courses

Exchange students can take almost all Bachelor's courses taught in English at the College of Economics and Business. For detailed information on courses please refer to the digital course catalogue.

Master's courses

Master's courses are only open to students who have obtained their bachelor's degree. Please note that not all Master's courses are open to exchange students.

Dutch Language Courses

Students can register themselves for a Dutch language course at the Institute for Dutch Language Education (INTT). For more information go to INTT. Keep in mind that no credits are awarded for the courses and that a tuition fee is required for the INTT courses, though exchange students receive a discount.

Compose your study programme

Exchange students should compose their individual study programme of 30 EC in one semester. Bachelor's courses amount 6 EC and master's courses amount 5 EC, 6 EC or 10 EC per course. Students can choose to enrol in the first or in the second semester or both. Please note that the number of master's courses offered is higher in the first semester. One semester is composed of three blocks. Courses in the third block are often not appropriate to exchange students as they are appointed to writing the thesis (please check the list of courses open to exchange students in the course guide). Therefore most and sometimes all credits need to be obtained in the first two periods* for example:

First period: 12 EC
Second period: 18 EC
Third period: none

or

First period: 18 EC
Second period: 12 EC
Third period: none

or

First period: 12 EC
Second period: 12 EC
Third period: 6 EC

* Please note that accommodation needs to be paid for the full period of one semester.

Balance your study programme

As all courses need to be attended in a relative short period of time, students need to prevent the programme to be too intensive. The student should therefore make a good estimation on the course level. We therefore advice students to consult the course descriptions to make sure entry requirements for the courses are met. Course descriptions can be found in the digital course catalogue.

Avoid any overlap

It is the responsibility of the student to make sure lectures, tutorials, seminars and exams don't overlap. It will not be possible to change courses upon arrival. Therefore we advice students to check the course schedule (see Timetables link below) to make sure your lectures do not overlap. Please note that if you take courses from one MSc programme there will be no overlap. In the Timetables website ýou can select your course in the 'Course' section.

Books

Students can buy their books with a discount from student association sefa. For ordering books, please have a look at the sefa website below. If you have ordered your books you can pick them up at the sefa bookstore, located in the Economics & Business building. Note that in order to buy books you need to become a sefa member.
