The specialized teams work together to ensure that education runs smoothly — from academic advising to graduation. In this way, the ESC helps make students’ journey through their degree programmes and the university possible. Drawing on a range of expertise, the ESC works toward education that is both manageable to study and to teach. Whether it concerns planning, educational policy, student guidance, quality assurance, or practical/laboratory support, the ESC ensures that everything behind the scenes is in place so that lecturers and students can focus on inspiring education and their development.

The Teaching & Learning Centre of FNWI (TLC Science) is one of the teams and supports lecturers with issues related to curriculum development, educational innovation, and pedagogy. This team is also part of an expert network consisting of faculty TLC teams and a central team that promotes an inspiring, learning-oriented, and future-proof educational culture at the University of Amsterdam.
