    Arthur Salomons

    Professor of Private law since 1999 (before that extraordinary professor on behalf of the M.H. Bregstein Foundation), chairman of the Civil Law Department in 2002-2007 and 2009-2013, chairman of the Programme Committee Law (1999-2006), Director College of Law (2014-2014),  deputy judge to the Gerechtshof van Amsterdam, member of the board of the M.H. Bregstein Foundation (2000-present), member of the Editorial Board of the European Property Law Journal (2012-present), chairman of the board of the Folia Civitatis Foundation (2024-present), chariman of the Examinations Board FdR (2025-present), scientific director of the UvA Teaching & Learning Centres (2026-present). His research focuses on Dutch and European Property and Security Law.
