What to do and to expect?

The International Office of the Amsterdam Law School confirms the receipt of nominations and applications within two weeks. Accepted exchange students receive regular information letters by email. Students who do not receive confirmation need to contact the International Office.

Further enrolment

After the enrolment at the faculty, the International Office forwards the details of all exchange students to the central UvA administration at Student Services. From them exchange students receive the UvA student number and e-mail with the UvA-net ID to finalize enrolment at the UvA and, if applicable, start the visa procedure.

Housing

The Amsterdam housing market is extremely challenging. UvA International Student Housing has a limited number of rooms reserved for newly incoming international students every semester. Therefore accommodation cannot be guaranteed.

Shortly after acceptance you will receive an email about the application procedure for student housing (lottery).
