Acceptance

Within six weeks after the application deadline all students will receive information on the status of their application.
If your application is positively evaluated, you will receive an email with an offer to study at the University of Amsterdam as an exchange student.
If your application is not positively evaluated (e.g. missing documents, lacking prerequisites) you will be notified by email within six weeks.

Learning agreement and other documents

Home universities often require specific documents to be signed by the Student Exchange Office of the Faculty of Science. The most common are the Learning Agreement and Confirmation of Arrival.
The Learning Agreement is signed once we have sent you a confirmation of enrolment for all courses.
The Confirmation of Arrival is signed once you arrive in Amsterdam, usually during the welcome meeting at the Faculty of Science.

Housing

The Amsterdam housing market is extremely challenging. UvA International Student Housing has a limited number of rooms reserved for roughly half of the newly incoming international students every semester. Please note that accommodation therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Shortly after acceptance you will receive an email about the application procedure for student housing (lottery).
More information on UvA International Student Housing can be found on uva.nl/housing
