By bringing together seven strong academic disciplines under one roof, we apply knowledge where it matters most. That breadth is our strength. We organise our work around four thematic intersections, where expertise from different disciplines comes together. One of these intersections is 'Resilient democracy and security of existence'.

Resilient democracy & security of existence

We study how people  engage with institutions, how social networks shape that relationship, how conflicts emerge and how policy can strengthen people’s security of existence.

We work with local authorities, government departments and civil society organisations on issues of trust in public institutions, disinformation and social tensions. We identify what people need to participate fully in society and how policy can help build a world where everyone feels seen and heard.
