A related Master's programme

Most students enrol in a Master’s programme to acquire broader or more specialised academic knowledge. The UvA offers over 150 one-, one and a half- and two-year Master’s programmes, many of which are taught in English. With a Bachelor's degree in Media and Culture, you may be eligible for admission to the one-year (60 EC) Master's programmes:

• Boekwetenschap (in Dutch)
• Film Studies
• Kunst, cultuur en politiek (in Dutch)
• New Media and Digital Culture
• Television and Cross-Media Culture

You may also gain access to a Dual Master's programme: a one and a half-year (90 EC) professional programme that incorporates an internship placement:

• Archival and Information Studies
• Documentaire en fictie
• Journalistiek en media (in Dutch)
• Redacteur/editor (in Dutch)

If you have a strong interest in research, you can apply for a two-year (120 EC) Research Master's. A selection procedure applies to all Research Master's programmes.
